A company of young people of Aleza Lake paid a visit over the week-end to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, of Hansard, to assist Bruce Wilson in celebrating his birthday on Sunday. The candles on the cake revealed Bruce as a mature and r'ch old bachelor of twenty-one years. E, J. Embree has charge of the building of the grain elevator at Vanr derhoof for the Gillespie Grain Company, of Edmonton, and expects to complete the job within two weeks. The elevator will have a capacity of 10,000 bushels. Joseph Philpott, who will do the buying for the Gillespie company, will be in the market for grain about the middle of the month. The epidemic of influenza has given the Indian department much concern. On the Stony Creek reservation there are said to be 85 cases, two at Fort Fraser and ten on the Stella reserve.
