tions Mr. Jackson had to use a stone-boat as an ambulance to get Mathers to Isle Pierre where a CXfJR. speeder was commandeered to bring him to the hospital in Prince George where he Is now convalescing nicely.
The Yukon Southern Air Transport contemplates a twice-a-week mail and passenger service instead of once a week as at present between Vancouver and Whitehorse, via Prince George. The new service is expected to be inaugurated on May 15.

According to advice from the local offices of the provincial department of public works the warm weather of the past week has brought attout a vast improvement to all tflxe highways leading out of Prince George, and if the good weather continues it will not be long before all restrictions as to traffic will be lifted.

As this is the season of the year when many dogs are lost from distemper and as the disease is to be found in Prince George at the present time, it would be advisable for" all dog
owners to keep their pets off the streets for the next three weeks or so. The only sure preventative for distemper u Inoculation. Should anyone be interested in getting their dog inoculated against distemper, get in touch with "Chuck" Thomas.

A surprise was given the Citizen yesterday when Elmer Little, lover of flowers .and local amateur horticulturist, brought in a bunch of beautiful yellow daffodils grown outside In his garden. Mr. Little said th»t he planted the bulbs last September in soil fertilized by bone meal and sheep manure with an eastern, exposure. The bulbs were of the "King Alfred" variety. So far as we know these are the first daffodils grown in this city though we believe Mrs. Read at Longworth has successfully grown daffodils for marj years.
