Nicholas Harrison, a Grade 6 student at South Fort George Elementary School, has discovered he can run a clock on lemon power. A zinc plate and a copper plate are inserted into the lemon and the ascorbic acid produces electricity of about 1.4 volts. That’s nearly as much as one gets from a small battery. Nicholas says it will only take about 80 lemons to power his mother’s mixer. LEARN TO MHCE Reasons why you should take dance lessons. Exercise, be more confident. More (un at parties.
