The Corporation currently has a requirement in the Prince George office for: ACCOUNTING CLERK/CASHIER English Essential * Level 03: Salary $21,066 - $23,764 per annum Enhanced Reliability Clearance POSITION SUMMARY The incumbent carries out the accounting procedures related to the cash disbursement functions by reviewing purchase orders, checking travel claims, preparing Journal Vouchers, monitoring receipts and expenditures and checking advance cards tor accuracy. Carries out the responsbililies of a cashier by preparing daily cash control reports, maintaining cash register and issuing receipts. Ha/She is also responsible for the Administration functions ol the Finance Department; including keyboarding, tiling, maintaining manuals, inputting to On-Line General Ledger Systems and taking daily deposits to the bank. QUAUF1CATIONS The successful candidate should have Grade 12 education, knowledge and/or at least one year of experience in the accounting field. He/She should have knowledge and experience with IBM and/or comparable computers. The position requires a motivated individual with strong communication and organizational skills, together with the ability to work independently.
