Active in the community, Fran was a past president of the Prince George Kinnette Club and a national award winner for the Kinnette bulletin. She keenly supported the work of AIMHI since its inception and was a member of the BC Old Time Fiddlers Club. In 1977 Fran began studies at the College of New Caledonia and continued her studies for several years. Fran's friends and family will remember her for her love of gardening, sewing and crocheting, her keen sense of humour, her strength and courage; the youthful energy that filled her life and touched the lives ol everyone who knew her.
