Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald, Laura San Giacomo, Diane Lane, Gary Sinise and Ruby Dee head the cast of ABC’s miniseries version of Stephen King’s "The Stand.” Ray Walston, Matt Frewer and Corky Nemec also appear in
the drama about Earth in the wake of an enormous Department of Defense accident.
Oscar winner Jon Voight climbs in the saddle for a six-hour ride in CBS’ "Return to Lonesome Dove.” Joining in the dusty fun are Barbara Hershey, William Peterson and, from the original production, Rick Schroder.

Judith Light and Judd Hirsch star in the story of a woman who accuses a renowned psychologist of sexual abuse during therapy sessions in "Under the Influence.” Markie Post ("Hearts Afire”) plays a wife who realizes her dentist husband is a serial killer, then helps the authorities catch him in NBC’s "Appointment for a Killing.” (He probably overcharges, too.)
Oprah Winfrey serves as executive producer for ABC’s “There Are No Children Here,”
