Divide dough into five portions to make five layers, 9 or 8 inch square. Press or roll directly into oiled and floured pans or cookie sheets. Bake at 350 F. degrees for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned. Make a filling of 1 lb. of pitted prunes, boiled and pureed with 1/2 cup of prune liquid, 3/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tbs. cinnamon. Spread filling between layers, when cool. Dust top with icing sugar then wrap and store in refrigerator for a few weeks to mellow. To serve: slice in small portions and enjoy with a cuppa.
