He is survived by his loving parents, Ann and Larry (Ilona); his brother Matthew (Melanie), his two beloved nieces, Alex and Avery; his sister, Erin (Mike), his step siblings, Hannah, Michael, and Luke, his snake, Little Mattie Breckon (who is now in Alex's care), and a large number of very special aunties, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends from near and afar. How can one possibly sum up another's life? Jonathan was the family clown since his highchair days. He will be remembered for all those times, when his demons were quiet, he carried on so much he had us all in stitches and rolling on the floor laughing. His streaking in the rain. His goofy impressions. His I-don't-give-a-heck attitude; what you see is what you get! When the dark storm clouds passed away, his smiling face was a delight. His loyalty and love for his family, especially his nieces, was unwavering. He fought hard for what he believed in, even when it was to his own detriment. His ability to connect with other lost souls was symbolic of his capacity for empathy and compassion. While our hearts break that he is no longer with us, we are comforted knowing that he can now be in peace, free from torment. Our memories of him will be held fiercely in our hearts forever. The memorial service will be held at Assman's Funeral Home, by invitation only.
