THE FREE PRESS LAW DECEMBER 1, 1994 A23 Assault nets 60 days in jail COURTREPORT ' Allan Lawrence Cameron was given 60 days in jail and two years’ probation alter pleading guilty to one count of assault. He was also given a $500 fine and has been prohibited from driving for a year after he pleaded guilty to impaired driving. Trevor Ronald Taylor was given a total of three years in jail for convictions on the following charges: use of a firearm in the commission of an indictable offense, uttering death threats, taking a hostage, and trafficking in a narcotic. Nick Hohorelos also got three years in jail after being convicted in the same incident. Mr. Hohorelos was found guilty of conspiracy to commit an indictable offense, use of a firearm in the commission of an indictable offense, extortion, and trafficking in a narcotic. Driving Curtis Neal Schaaf pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving and he got eight months in jail on one charge and six months in jail on the other. He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of stolen property and he got six months in jail for each charge. He pleaded guilty to one count of assault and got 14 days in jail. He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking and got 14 days in jail. He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a narcotic and got seven days in jail. He pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to show up in court and he got seven days in jail for both of those counts. Drugs Beverly Campbell pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in a narcotic. He will be sentenced on the charge January 11. Wayne Edward Kooses pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a narcotic. He got a $100 fine. Dulcy Diane Pegg was given a $1000 fine after she pleaded guilty to one count of cultivating an opium poppy or marijuana. Rob David Belhumeur will be sentenced February 1, 1995 after he pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of failing to appear in court. Drunk driving Joseph Lindsay Scheck has been fined $400 and prohibited from driving for a year after he pleaded guilty to one count of impaired driving. Ronald Hugh Mills pleaded guilty to one count of driving with a blood-alcohol level of above .08 and was given a $750 fine. Bryan Gary Glover was sentenced to 90 days in jail and has been prohibited from driving for two years after he was found guilty of three counts of having a blood-alcohol level of above .08. Ronald Anthony Pixton was given four months in jail and has been prohibited from driving for three years after he was found guilty of one count of driving with a blood-alcohol level of above .08. Theft Shane David Hanna pleaded guilty to three counts of theft, one count of break and enter and committing an indictable offense therein, and possession of stolen property. He got 30 days in jail for each of the counts. Mr. Hanna also pleaded guilty to possession of a narcotic and he got a $400 fine for that. Corey Richard Laursen pleaded guilty to theft over $ 1,000 and got one day in jail and a $750 fine. Mr. Laursen also pleaded guilty to one count of theft under $1,000. He must pay restitution of $240 and had only one week to pay. He also got one day in jail for failing to appear. Francis Carter Prince pleaded guilty to one count of breaking and entering and committing an indictable offense. He got three months in jail and an order was made to dispose of the exhibits. Vance Prince was given a $100 fine for theft. He pleaded guilty. Valerie Catherine Campbell was given two days in jail for pleading guilty to two counts of failing to appear in court. She was also given a $200 fine for taking a motor vehicle without consent. Uttering threats Bruce Gordon Burgess was convicted of one count of uttering threats of death. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was given a one-year suspended sentence. Mr. Burgess also pleaded guilty to one count of mischief over $1000. He was ordered to pay restitution of $173.50. Chad Buchanan was sentenced to a total of 15 months in jail after he was found guilty of two counts of uttering threats and two counts of extortion. Douglas William Lang got a one-year suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to a count of uttering threats. Malcolm Harold Thomas Banks will be sentenced in Chetwynd December 2 after he pleaded guilty to one count of uttering threats. Miscellaneous John Samual Pozdnikoff was given four months imprisonment, to be served on the electronic monitoring program, and two years’ probation after he pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the demand of a peace officer. Correction Michael James Gray was given a one-year suspended sentence for possession of stolen property, not for break and enter for the purpose of committing an indictable offense, though he was originally charged with that crime. Sherri Ann Chiuppi was given a one-year suspended sentence for assault but was only given one day in jail for failing to comply with a condition.
