 Lodge getting own entrance
     The downtown Rotary Club of Prince George is opening a new door for residents of Jubilee Lodge.
     Rotary, through a three-year fundrasing campaign, is donating $100,000 to the local long-term care facility, money that will be used to build a new entrance at the corner of 15th Avenue and
  Alward Street. Currently, the only access to Jubilee Lodge is through Prince George Regional Hospital.
     “What we want to do is create a much more friendly facility for the seniors who reside in the lodge,” says Elio Azzara, director of planning for PGRH and the Northern Interior Regional Health
  Board. Mr. Azzara says the new entrance will make visitation to the building much more convenient for residents and family members. Completion date for the project, he says, is late May.
     Rotary president Dr. Rob Cormack presented the cheque Tuesday afternoon to Diane Rogers, president
  of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.
     “We are proud to be able to help improve the quality of life for residents of Jubilee Lodge and their families,” Dr. Cormack says. “As our community ages, care for the aged is going to become a more critical issue.”
