                                                                    Many players want to prove themselves
    “We stick together. We’re closer than most other teams. We talk more and we’re more like friends than just out there to play.”
    That camaraderie is apparent in the diamond and off as well. Encouragement and congratulations are echo across the park during every Knights’ game and both Hunter and Norn are quick to point out who the stronger of the nine pitchers are without a trace of envy or jealousy that their own personal glory might be diminished by sharing the spotlight.
    But a relaxed interteam attitude doesn’t mean the Knights are relaxed about the provincials.
    For some, like Brody Norn, it is their last chance to finally prove themselves before leaving Babe Ruth.
    For others, like Brandon Hunter, it is one more opportunity to end the mounting frustration of years spent travelling nine hundred kilometres only to return in defeat.
    “I’ve been down there five years in a row and gotten dead last. I just want to win a provincial once in my Babe Ruth career,” says Hunter.
