6 THE FREE PRESS Today’S WoitlCIl SEPTEMBER 18, 2003 Rodica Curteanu created a residence where elderly people in need of some care and supervision can live independently. With a background as a physio therapist, I worked with a team at SFL rehabilitating the elderly so they could return home. Some of them lived alone and required assistance with meals and other daily needs and would end up returning to lodge or hospital. I saw a niche in the market that I could fill. With assistance from Community Futures Resource Team I was able to get a small business loan, develop a business plan, purchase a large residence to house the elderly. I employ one staff member and care for eight residents. I have recently expanded with a second residence now open. When full it will house five more elderly and employ two staff members. If you have elderly in need of care, I invite you to come and see what I can provide. Please call: 563-9566 for more info.
