An article was also published in the Nechaco Chronicle which stated that Hartley would not agree to meet Anderson unless a good offer was made. Just what Hartley considers a good offer is not known. However, Hughes says that a boxer is not worth any more than he can draw at the gate, but is willing to guarantee Hartley $150 and his expenses here; or if Hartley is willing to take a chance he will give him 25 per cent, of the gate receipts. Both these offers seem favorable, for if the bout is staged"at popular prices, and owing tp^the limited capacity of the hall, a larger guarantee could not very well be made. Thc^fans are anxious to Bee Hartley and Anderson in action and it is to be hoped that arrangements can be made to have these very clever boxers matched. Wm.
