Annual meeting of agricultural Society held this

The annual meeting of the Fort George agricultural Association will be held this evening in the City Hall, when the election of officers for next year will be held.
The officers for last year deserve credit for the success of this year's fair.  Under adverse conditions the exhibits were above the average and it is intended to make the next exhibition the largest ever held in the city.  Now is the time to make arrangements and select officers will carry on the work continuously.
Decide the election of officers much routine business will be dealt with.  Every member of the Society is requested to be in attendance.


City news of interest

The ladies aid of the Methodist Church are going to half afternoon tea and sale of home cooking on Saturday afternoon, October 14.

On Sunday next and for the future the service at St. Michael's Church, 7th Ave, will be at 11 a.m. instead of 7:30 p.m., as hitherto.

At the first Methodist Church there will be a thanksgiving service on Sunday evening at 11:30 a.m..  You are cordially invited.  

The official count in Cariboo gives Yorston, liberal, 342, and Fraser, conservative, 173.

AG Hamilton has returned from the peace River country.

JD Moore, agent for the inland express company, at South Fort George, paid Quesnel a visit last week.  "Dixie" is still very much in evidence --- Ashcroft Journal.

Don't forget that next Monday the ladies Association of the Catholic Church give a dance in the Ritts Kifer Hall.  A good time is guaranteed.

The women's Association of Knox Presbyterian Church are giving a social and entertainment at the church this evening.
