A number have signified their willingness to enlist as soon as the business can be put in shape and in all it is expected about 16 will be sent from here by the end of the week. GTP buying potatoes grown at Prince George Last year the grand trunk Pacific purchased all the "floods" possible from this district, finding they were of better quality than can be purchased elsewhere along the line. The tubers from this section were used on all diners between Winnipeg and Rupert, and so well satisfied where the patrons of the road at another contract has been given to Alderman J. T. Armstrong to supply all the district can furnish. While the yield will be less than last season, the price will be somewhat higher, giving as good a return to the rancher. Alderman Armstrong is buying and shipping all he can get, no limit being placed on the amount, the railroad being willing to take the whole output.
