The citizens of Prince George are to be congratulated on the ejection as chief executive of the city of a man who at all times has stood for unity among business interests and a progressive, economic administration at the City Hall. It was no victory for any section, but an expression of opinion by the electorate in favor of a candidate who has tried at all times to bring harmony to the warring factions, believing that in no other way could development come. It is now up to the people to forget all old jealousies and bickerings, get behind the new mayor, and assist him in carrying out the platorm on which he was elected. Every section of the city expressed the same opinion, even the west end dropping its old antagonism and, while giving Mr. Carney a small majority, which was expected, showed the right spirit, and by their vote gave evidence of the fact that the city must unite and act as a unit if it ever is to reach the position of central business section of one of the greatest districts in the whole j,_^ province, xirop aii thought of j The Northern Lumber east, west, north or south, be a booster for the city as a whole, ' realizing that to accomplish the building up of a prosperous community requires unanimity of action along every line.
