The production will be shot with Broadcast Quality video equipment at the college and later used to help promote the College Watch Program. On location filming will begin in mid February and some "extras" will be needed. The contest is administered by The University of Waterloo under the auspices of the Waterloo Mathematics Foundation Awards. All full-time students are invited to write the contest paper. Those full-time students who: (a) were born on or after January 1, 1973 and (b) have been attending a Canadian secondary school for at least twelve months prior to December 31, 1992 are eligible for individual awards and team competition. Those students who do not meet these requirements can still write the contest and are eligible for any scholarships associated with the contest. The College will sponser talented students who wish to write the contest. Members of the Department of Mathematics will coach participating students one hour per week (time to be arranged) using previous contest papers and other problems.
