almost
a
champion
af
political
liberty.

Judy
Grahn
calls
pornography
the
"poetry
of
oppression,"
and
rightly
so,
since
it
gives
freedom
to
viewers
but
bondage
(physical
or
emotional)
to
its
victims.
Of
course,
serious
minded
authors
must
have
freedom
in
the
production
of
a
work
of
genuine
merit,
where
the
portrayal
of
sex
is
essential
to
a
wider
artistic
or
literary
purpose.
There
is
a
big
difference
between
this
work
and
the
undue
exploration
of
sex
as
the
main
topic,
with
the
main
object
being
a
man's
arousal
by
unnatural
or
violent
means
at
the
expense
of
another's
misery.
While
the
rights
and
freedoms
of
viewers
of
pornography
are
being
protected,
who
is
protecting
the
women
afraid
to
walk
down
the
street
at
night?
Who
will
protect
the
child
living
in
fear
each
night
that
Daddy
will
come
to
her
room
again?
Who
will
protect
the
wives
that
don't
wish
to
comply
to
demands
to
replay
a
scene
from
a
video?
It
is
time
that
we
speak
up
and
demand
some
government
and
police
control
over
the
production
and
distribution
of
obscene
material.
The
Criminal
Code
states
that
the
community
standard
of
tolerance
is
really
the
deciding
factor,
so
let's
speak
up
for
safety
for
women
and
children
in
our
community.
