ISSUE 2 1996 Mft MOVIE niB J&AA ifamoiRiv ItTOy The name of this flick reveals little of what you're in store for when you decide to take a break from the tormenting first week of the semester and let your brain recover at the theater. After all, Robin Williams stars in this movie. You've probably heard that Jumanji is some type of game. Well, it is, but Jumanji is definitely unlike any game you've played before. Step aside virtual reality, this is the real thing. Jumanji is a typical edge-of-your-seat flick. With each role of the die, you wonder as to what disastrous deed is about to be inflicted on the game players. The special effects are rather impressive. Like having a floor turn to quick sand and solidify with someone still caught in it makes the show all the more believable. Seeing that Robin Williams stars in this movie, you will get the laughs you're expecting. This movie is well worth taking in any day of the week, in fact, if you go on Tuesday, you'll get a deal! REVIEWS ' 'B'RmEZ Steve Martin makes another great movie! We thought that a bride wearing running shoes and a wedding dress was unusual, but try a mother and daughter being pregnant and giving birth at the same time! Steve Martin really has his hands full this time! The story begins with the anouncement of a new baby. The news of becoming a grandfather hits Martin hard. MIDLIFE CRISIS!! Little did he know things could only get worse as far as he was concerned. It is hilarious to watch Martin attempt to please two impossible women with everchanging moods. If you missed this movie in the theatre and are looking for a good comedy to laugh and cry at we reccommend this show. TWELVE MONKEY6 Bobbi Senum If you are looking for a spine chilling, nail biting movie to pass a Tuesday night with the buds, Twelve Monkeys could very well be the movie. Bruce Willis plays an inmate, traveling through time without a clue. He meets up up with a mentally unstable character played by sexy Brad Pitt. Willis becomes aquainted with a psychiatrist played by Madeline Stowe, who becomes intruiged with Willis's creative imagination and his warnings of what the future will bring. This movie will leave you talking about it and explaining the story line to those who did not under stand it. Too complex I suppose!! We reccommended see ing this movie twice. K. Link If you're reading this and still haven't taken in this movie, unfortunately, you're too late. It's left good ol' P.G., but it's something you'll definitely want to catch on video. Toy Story is Disney's latest animated feature saturated with computer graphics, and that's not a bad thing. The movie was really well done. You're taken on as a spectator in this movie and shown what it's like to be a toy. It's not an easy life. Christmas and Birthdays are actually fearful because the toys are scared of being replaced. Woody 's, sort of the toy hero in the flick, voice done by Tom Hanks, whom lends his sarcasm to the roll. This makes for quite the entertaining show as he torments Buzz, another toy and Woodys possible replacement. I won't go into anymore detail in case you do decide to rent this movie when it comes out.
