14 ISSUE 5 1996 The College of New Caledonia and the Safer Campuses Committee present an: Can stalking be prevented? Can it be predicted? Misconceptions? What do victims say about it? What do former stalkers say about it? What do the police and prosecutors say and do? This seminar, by Interglobe Investigation Services, is designed to inform as to the recent Criminal Code changes prohibiting CRIMINAL HARASSMENT. The presentation will include: guest speakers such as former stalkers, former and current stalking victims, and individuals from the legal profession. As well as providing an overview of the stalking phenomenon, we will be presenting valuable "tips" and "how to's" for the public to follow in everyday situations that greatly minimize the chances of being a random victim.
