ISSUE 6 1997 Review v I found that I enjoyed Jerry Maguire. It was a very emotional show, as most of the females within my range of vision were crying. The show succeeded in taking it's viewers on an emotional rollercoaster. One minute you were laughing, then the next you were feeling something else. It's the kind of movie that you really get into or you don't at all, depending on the mood you are in before the show. w Tom Cruise is Jerry Maguire, a professional sports agent working at the top of the ladder in a huge firm. One evening, with the help of a couple of drinks, Maguire grows a conscience and re-writes the company's mission statement, making copies for everyone in the office. In less than a week he loses his job, his girl, and most of his self respect. With one client and an accountant, played by Renee Zellweger, Maguire hopes to make a come back. He puts his all into making his client a star and puts very little effort towards his newfound relationship. Maguire must learn to open up and love himself before he can succeed in love and JERRY MAGUIRE Jerry Maguire is a definite must see! This movie is full of excitement and was very entertaining. I fell in love with Renee Zellweger's character, and Tom Cruise was wonderful as usual. I would go see this movie again in a heartbeat. A helpful hint ladies: This is not just a single kleenex show: a whole box is needed! The new movie, 101 Dalmatians, follows the exact same storyline as the original animated Walt Disney version with one exception, the cartoon has been transformed into a real life story. Fifteen adorable Dalmatian puppies are born, and they are stolen by the evil villain Cruella DeVil along with 84 other dalmatian puppies. Cruella has plans to skin the puppies and use their fur to make a beautiful spotted outfit. With the help of all of the other animals of the town, the puppies parents, Pongo and Purdy, find and rescue their pups. The catch here is that all of the animals are real, with the exception of the newborn pups, and perform amazing tricks. iOi DALMATIANS 101 Dalmatians was a pretty good show. It would not, however, be my choice on a night out with the guys. It's more of a family show, but then again, what Disney production is not? My love for dogs made this movie quite enjoyable and I found myself laughing numerous times. So if you've got to do the family thing or just want to take the kids to a show, I'd say check this movie out! Suprisingly this is not a show made just for children. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and thought that it was very well done. What made the movie for me were the dalmatians. They did a superb job and made for a cute, entertaining show for all ages to enjoy! CALL THE CINEMA INFO LINE 561-0303 FOR CURRENT MOVIE LISTINGS AT THE CORONET
