Eventually there were mini-students everywhere. The grunges were slouching around out-radding each other, the preppies were primping (and looking for the restroom), and everybody was slowly gravitating toward the social areas in the new wing. The cafeteria staff did yeoman service catering to the culinary demands of a disoriented, "Where's the pop?" parade of GTs. The vending machines quite literally gave their all. The east side of the school was a constant flow of GTs eating, drinking, talking, and noticing, shyly, the other GTs. Back at the gym, students were visiting the various booths listening to presentations, asking questions and having their 'passports' stamped by the presenters. The passports assured each student would avail themselves of the opportunity to see all the choices available to them. At many of the booths, they were active participants-filling out questionnaires, role-playing, handling equipment and being yery much hands op. The GTs were given whistles by the Workman's Compensation Board.lt was not only exciting, it was loud. On a practical note, the GTs saw CNC. The event is jointly produced by CNC, School District 57 and the Prince George Rotary Club. Many of these young people will be back in these halls three years from now; we showed them what a first class institution CNC is. They saw the career fields many of them will be pursuing plus the means to get there via education and training. Seeds were planted. " All the o'rganizers, participants and exhibitors are to be commended for a fine presentation. Student guides and volunteers are thanked for their efforts on our behalf.
