'R5S1 9 Volume 30, issue 06 by: Aaron Martin Jody Wilcock is employed as a fabricator here in PG and when he is not working, he spends his time building skateboards, street luges and other speed related vehicles. You may have seen him street luging on the hill leading up to the University. He is an intelligent individual with a twist of insanity and a lot of creativity, f 1 Reaching speeds of 105 kmh on one of his custom built street luges, may seem a little crazy but to him, it is a fulfillment of an E-H IHBHI "A woman drove me to drink, and I never had the courtesy to thank her" Per tt ongoing desire to travel at high velocity. Speeds reaching near 128 kmh were attained by Jody on the five-lane highway heading towards Bella-Coola from Williams Lake. Considering the danger of moving at such a rate, inches from the pavement, balancing on the edge of road rash, proves that he has to be a little crazy. When Jody was asked when he became addicted to speed, he smiled and made a simple reply, "When I was born." The specifics of this race have been withheld due to legal reasons but will be released prior to the competition. Jody also races his latest project, a customized Pontiac Firefly that he calls the "SuperFly". Jody challenges anybody who thinks they have a fast vehicle to come forward and test their machine against the SuperFly at the dragstrip. Keep an eye out for him and fellow speed freaks this spring, because when the gravel is swept, its time for speed. So donft just think about it, do it fast.
