Strokes".

their
new
album
Kings

Leon
continue
to
disprove
this
assertion
by
not
sucking

Strokes
who
suck,
just
their
fans.

This
album
was
largely
recorded
live
in
the
studio
to
get
that
rough,
and
dirty
sound
that
the
Kings
thought
was
missing
from
their
debut.
The
Followill
brothers
continue
to
evolve
with
this
release,
which
(as
seems
to
be
the
theme
this
month)
easily
trumps
their
earlier
album.
This
album
will
not
do
anything
to
squelch
those
Strokes
comparisons
due
to
the
simplistic
jangley
guitar
parts,
but
where
the
Kings
of
Leon
really
differen

it
kinda
sounds
like
an
old
man
groaning.
But
luckily
for
us
there
are
only
two
such
tracks
and
both
pick
up
steam
at
some
point
and
make
themselves
worthwhile.

While
CCR
has
a
stronger
guitar
sound,
the
bands
share
extremely
strong
rhythm
sections
and
vocalists
with
whiskey-throated
voices

The
only
stumbling
blocks
in
the
Kings
way
are
their
atrocious
ballads.

should
stay
away
from

slower
stuff
