Notice of Referendum

U-PASS Fee Referendum Vote Question
Voting February 4-6, 2014

Whereas: The Students’ Union and City of Prince George negotiated a renewal to the CNCSU U-
PASS Program Contract in summer of 2013 including continuation of the existing rates of $54
per semester ($13.50 per month), which has yet to be signed by the City of Prince George;
Whereas: The City of Prince George has now conducted a core services review and determined
that the U-PASS Program Fee is required to increase;

Whereas: The City of Prince George has provided notice of a $0.88 per month increase for the
CNCSU U-PASS program for the 2013-14 academic year and;

Whereas: Any increase to the Student U-PASS Fee must be approved by a referendum of the
CNC Students conducted in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of the CNC Students’
Union;

Be it resolved that a $0.88 per month increase of the CNCSU U-PASS Program be approved
contingent upon the City of Prince George signing the renewed CNCSU U-PASS Agreement.
