The leaves have turned a
delightful yellow, at least for a
few days, the smell of pumpkin
spice is in the air, and | had
to go out and buy a cardigan
because it isn’t quite winter
yet and it makes me think of
Bill Cosby. October is gone
goddammit and | wish it had
last forever.

Now, before you start
throwing a fit, The College of
New Caledonia is putting on
some great events this month,
so be sure to check around the
campus and CNCSU office
when you have the chance to
see what we are offering so
you do not miss out on any
festivities.

The College of New
Caledonia Students Union is
alsolookingforaPrince George
Campus Representative. If
you are a current College
of New Caledonia student,
want to earn money while you
go to school, and do a little
travelling, come by the office
and pick up an application
today.

For those of you who
drive in the winter, be sure to
get your winter tires switched
over aS soon as _ possible.
Also, check your tread length
using the tried and true toonie
technique. If you stick a toonie
into the tread and you can still
see the year, you're better off
walking this winter until you
have some decent tires. The
closer it is to the bear’s paws

Also, If you are driving in winter for their first time | would suggest
you practice in a parking lot following a decent snow fall. This will help
you get used to cornering, braking, and all the various other maneuvers
you are going to need if you want to survive driving in Canada. Just be
aware that other new drivers may be practicing as well.
