| As we all Know, Durant’s extraordinary talent led his home team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, all the way to the 2012 NBA Finals. On this special day, Durant also showed his gift of basketball to all the guests present. The host asked if there was anyone who was willing to have a friendly match with Durant, but nobody dared to accept the challenge and compete with him. When Durant saw this, he encouraged his fans: “Come on, you guys can do it!” Most of the fans started getting excited after hearing what Durant said. The host picked a few fans randomly and they had a shooting competition with Durant. Of course, it was no surprise that Durant won the game at the end. It was still worthwhile to witness Durant’s excellent basketball skills. As a big fan of him, like so many others, | was impressed by how outstanding Durant was at basketball. Unlike other basketball players, Durant was well-known for his kindness. As the fourth highest-earning basketball player in 2013, he donated a large amount of money to the American Red Cross _ for the victims of the 2013 Moore tornado. On that day, Durant’s generosity was represented to his fans. What really engraved itself in my memory was that when the host gave the fans permission to have photos taken with Durant, one of the participants tripped and fell on the ground. Durant walked up to this fan and helped him up. As well as this kind action, Durant took off his invaluable shoes and passed them to the fan who just fell down. | saw the whole situation and | was touched by how much Durant cared about people, especially those in need. From this experience, | understood that real truly good people were not about what they claimed to be but what they actually were. Namely, as human beings, it was always better to be kind rather than being mean. After this event, | put his signed T-shirt into my photo frame. This event brought a significant impact to my life. From the moment | met him, to me, Kevin Durant was not only a top basketball player, but also a human being who showed his humility to individuals, his talent for basketball, and also his kindness to humans. | : \ i q | Z / os x A Oy 3 4 i A ; Ty : | i aff ie Ky oi a ve co ¥ x % pies Wg.
