Polaroid cameras were expensive. Still it didn’t make sense. Carol decided to just play along with it. She sat at her desk and picked it up to have a closer look at it. From what she could see the camera was probably a couple years old, probably bought second hand. Just for her own amusement she raised the camera in front of her with the lens pointed in her direction and snapped a picture of herself. To her disappointment there wasn’t any film in the camera. She put the camera down and decided to have a look at what was in those tw envelopes. Carol picked up the envelope on the top, she was expecting this to be a couple, maybe three or four packs o film to get her started. She opened the envelope and revealed the contents and was taken by surprise when she had seen her high school pictures instead, which seemed to go back as far as the year they moved in. At first Carol thought it was kind of cute, but then she found that it didn’t make sense. It seemed out of the ordinary for sure. Carol flipped through about six of them before moving on to pictures that were taken with a Polaroid. Of course, they were still of her, but these ones were different. In these pictures she was walking back and forth to school, but seem to be taken when she was completely unaware of it. Carol was puzzled as to why her mom and dad were taking pictures of her without her knowing it. She thought they were just trying it out, but even that didn’t make sense, there were so many of them and they all seem to be taken throughout the year. Carol finished looking through the first envelope. None of what she had seen made any sense. Carol picked up the second envelope to reveal its contents, thinking it might answer a few questions. She pulled out yet another stack of Polaroids. They were still of her unsuspecting self except these ones were taken from a view of a window inside a house. She looked at the front yard and from what she could see it looked like the grass was dead and the picket fence was falling apart. The only house that Carol passed with a lawn like that was the one next to hers. Right then she put two and two together. This wasn’t her mom and dad taking these pictures. She looked through three pictures of the same and got to one where it looked like the flash went off inside. Carol then remembered that one day where she had seen that flash of light come from the window. Whoever took this picture must've had the flash on by mistake. Carol didn’t imagine something move in the window, something did move in the window and whoever it was he was taking pictures of her. There were still more to go and since she had them she might as well look at them all. Carol looked through six or seven of the same pictures of her passing the house. She flipped the seventh one to reveal the eighth and was horrified by what was on it. This picture was of her in her room and it was taken right outside her window. Many thoughts were going through her head. She looked through what seemed to be a dozen of these pictures of her in her room mostly doing homework or sleeping. She flipped the third froin the last, a chill ran along her spine as she stared at what has to be worst of the bunch. It was a picture of he sleeping and it was taken from inside her room. Carol didn’t know if this man had an obsession disorder or if he was a psycho. There was one more picture for her to see and she was almost too afraid to see what it was, but curiosity had gotten the better her. She revealed the last picture and was almost relieved to see tha it was of her window, but written underneath it read “look outside’. Carol looked at her window, curious, but afraid of where this may lead. She made her way to her window and looked outside. Parked along the street was an old Fargo she had never seen around her neighborhood before. That’s when she heard the bedroom door close. ACKNOLEDGMENTS Wikipedia had supplied minor details. Coral Mazereeuw had assisted in proofreading and had done proofreading at other times. Jason Gillespie Had read through the story and supplied suggestions and pointed out mistakes in my grammar. This story is a work of fiction, however there was a similar incident that involved two garbage men who had made a similar discovery. That incident is what inspired this story. hte i) = lected ool some Koken = i) Gu | eae = — — a
