IT’S THE CHIEF - EDITORIAL Uh oh, here | go writing words again. It's always fun, the second week of the semester. You finally have your stuff sorted out and classes seem somewhat fresh. What a lot of people don’t know is that that will end in about two more classes. Either way, it’s important to recognize your opportunities and take them. Become a yes-man instead of a no-man. Who knows what will happen? There are exciting things happening around you people. As someone who was very, very, very apathetic, all it takes is the motivation to do so. This isn’t the easiest thing to do, for sure, but it is very important if you wish to experience the “college lifestyle” that people always are talking about. Until next time, HERE COMES THE NEWS - EDITORIAL Hello, CNC patrons. It is unbelievable that we are already two weeks into 2019! This year will be fast-paced and challenging. However, it is important not to wish the year away. What | mean by this is to stop wishing for the predetermined bad days to hurry up. We should stop wishing for Monday to end (calm down, Garfield. Monday is just another day of the week, and our mindset is what makes this day garbage or ae This semester is unique; each course, no matter how difficult, offers daily rewards and educational opportunities that no other student will experience the same. Improving for the future begins with diligence now, as well as never forgetting what happened in the past. | know better than anyone how difficult it is not to stress over the inevitable. | am not asking readers to magically stop their anxiety over getting into their university of choice or matters of that importance. | just find it fair to argue that the days before these deadlines should not be overshadowed and forgotten. Before one realizes it, their program is complete and the days were awash with worry, bleached by bleakness. Is that how moments in our lives should be remembered? | think not. Remember to appreciate coffee dates with friends. Enjoy bursts of laughter. Enjoy successes, no matter how miniscule they may appear. Treasure little failures, for we grow from them.
